So What’s The Big Idea?
To create a wave of inspiration through innovation in primary education in the North East of England.
Who Should Attend?
The event is designed for primary education leaders and businesses wishing to support innovation in North East schools.
What Will I Learn?
The event will create an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by:
A renowned international speaker and author and formerly a head teacher responsible for transforming a failing UK school to an international award winning primary school. Richard will share his experiences to inspire change in education.
House of Objects
A creative recycling centre, collecting good reusable waste from local businesses to make it available to schools as a provocation for learning. House of Objects will share its portfolio of projects designed to support and inspire innovation in education.
Who Is Richard Gerver?
Richard has been described as one of the most inspirational leaders of his generation. He argues that great leadership is about serving the needs of the people that work for you and rely upon you. The three core principles that underpin Richard’s philosophy are communication, empowerment and impact.
The North East Local Economic Partnership has identified the development of a culture of innovation as key to creating a thriving and sustainable economy with more and better jobs in the region. The House of Objects approach brings the innovation agenda into early education, building the basic skills that will shape our region’s future problem solvers.
